Here is the way for checking your whether your modemis installed correctly or not.
*.Go to control paneland click phone and modem options
*.Check if your location and area code is correctly displayed.
*.Click on modemstab
*.Select our modem and then click properties
*.In the appeared window, select the diagnostics tab and click query modem.
*.Check the result (appearing in command-response space above the tab), if it says success, then your modem is correctly installed, if not try reintallin drive
